Avidemux

Avidemux is video editing software that has an in-built editor. The user can join multiple videos and adds visual effects like color, texture and background theme. The editor allows encoding and re-encoding from one file format to another. It is a simple toolkit that allows basic editing functions for personal videos. The software menu is simple with all functions run in just a click and drag-and-drop feature. The menu has customized list of all file formats listed, you only need to select the file format for re-encoding. It has diverse audio and video codecs enabled to support major video and audio and file formats like FLV, MPEG, AVI and OGG,MP3 and WAV respectively.

The interface has some additional toolkits like filters, decoder, and frame rates among other kits. However, it is not efficient for large-sized video editing. The interface lacks the help function for new users to offer assistance when one is stuck. It is also not very effective for professional video editing due to limited functions on the interface. It has to run with plugins and other programs to edit videos that need a professional touch.

Avidemux is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in video editors category and is available to all software users as a free download.
