CheckDisk

Check and repair disk errors"
A review by John

The health of a computer disk is of utmost importance to every computer user. The fact that all data on the computer is stored on the disk makes it crucial. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that the computer hard disk is working optimally to prevent imminent data loss. With this application, a computer user can analyze a hard drive to verify its health status and repair any error it finds. The program is designed to be easy to use. After launching the program, the application interface presents the user with the list of hard drives installed on the computer. After that, the user is required to select a hard drive, choose a type of test, and start scanning the hard drive for errors.

The program scans the disk and fixes the issues that are found with the hard drive. It is an excellent app for hard disk maintenance. The user can choose from two types of scans mode. These are the “standard scan” and the “thorough scan.” While the standard scan is not time-consuming, it does not check every sector of the disk for error. On the other hand, the thorough scan mode checks the surface of the drive for errors and takes more time to complete.

CheckDisk is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in hard disk utilities category and is available to all software users as a free download.
