Network scanning enables network administrators to examine IP addresses and determine the number of active devices connected to a network. Just as its name suggests, this utility is specially designed to identify MAC addresses of devices connected to a network by their scanning IP addresses. The application’s intuitive interface makes it usable even by less experienced users. Actually, besides the user-friendly interface, the application also has very few features and the user is not required to perform any complex configurations.
When you launch the application, you first land on its main window where you are prompted to enter your LAN’s subnet which defines the range of IP addresses the application needs to scan. After initiating the scanning process, the application provides you with information about the devices connected to the network in terms of hostname, device manufacturer, IP address, and MAC address. All this information will be displayed in a single window.
The application’s simplistic design makes it ideal for less experienced users, however, advanced users may find it extremely basic. Additionally, these results can be exported to a CSV or TXT file.
