Connection Keeper

Prevet the internet connection to drop"
A review by John

While it is certainly uncommon nowadays, there are still people out there who rely on dial-up connections or similar broadband services that are prone to crashing. Internet service providers who still offer this sort of connections often drop them when they see no network activity or when terminals are just idle after a little while. This is what led many people back in the day to experience frustrating interruptions on their service for apparently no reason.

Not to worry now, though, because solutions like Connection Keeper exist precisely to prevent this kind of situation from happening. Installing this simple program will greatly improve your life if you’re on dial-up and need to get online at any time without hassles or annoying waiting periods expecting service reconnection. It works by simulating online activity, thus avoiding automatic disconnection from your ISP.

The utility uses your own log of visited pages and compiles a Sites List, which makes for an ever more consistent browsing pattern than just visiting random pages to stay connected. The trickery behind this software might not fool all Internet companies, though.

Connection Keeper is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in bandwidth category and is available to all software users as a free download.
