This little application is the perfect tool if you ever receive a CSV file (short for “Comma Separated Values”) and you don’t know how to view its content. From Windows XP to Windows 7, this little tool works like a charm. Also, it has just under 600KB, so it’s a breeze to download and install, even on a metered mobile connection. CSV Viewer enables you to open CSV files, view their rows and columns and also search within the file and then copy data from it.
The application doesn’t have any complicated configuration options or utilities because it doesn’t need them to achieve its goal – in other words, a novice user can take full advantage of the program in no time.
This utility can sort the contents of a large CSV file in a few moments and you can easily view, find and copy anything with just a few mouse clicks. The search option is, however, capable of matching the case and has Whole Words functionality.
The only downside to this tool is its lack of export capabilities. You can’t save the CSV file in another format – TXT for example – and this can irritate some more advanced users. Nevertheless, it’s a very good, small and versatile tool.
CSV Viewer is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in files category and is available to all software users as a free download.
