BitTorrent is a protocol for peer-to-peer file sharing that enables fast downloading of large files using minimum Internet bandwidth. BitTorrent can be used to download all types of computer files including videos, images, applications and audios. The application is based on the libtorrent library and come with three different interfaces: GTK UI for the desktop, Web UI for the browser and Console UI for the command line.
The interface layout is no different from other torrent clients and download managers. At the left section is the filter feature and state of the operation (all, downloading, seeding, active, paused and error), the top right section displays the operation progress and the bottom section displays the information of operation.
The application can function as both a normal standalone desktop application and a client-server in which the BitTorrent activity is handled by a daemon process and can work perfectly on headless machines with the user-interfaces remotely connected from any other platform.
Deluge is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in file sharing category and is available to all software users as a free download.
