DiskBench

Test the hard disks"
A review by John

This software application is quite handy and helps you to monitor how much time it will take for your files to be copied from one folder or directory to another. While there are quite a lot of apps that allow you to test your hard drive performance, this particular program looks more advanced and dedicated. This software app is quite easier to use in benchmarking a PC’s HDD, it comes with a clean interface and its function is specific. The interface features multiple tabs which have specific functions; Copy Files, Copy Directory, Create File, Read File, and Create File Batch. You will have to toggle to each tab depending on the action you wish to run.

Also, this program automatically removes the copied files from their initial folder or directory after they have been successfully copied to a new one so that your hard drive won’t be filled with unnecessary files. The transfer rate depends on the size of the file you are trying to copy. Larger files will take more time to copy while smaller files will copy as fast as possible. In all, this is quite a useful app that every PC user may want to have. It is simpler to use and comes with specific features.

DiskBench is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in benchmark category and is available to all software users as a free download.
