ext2read (ext2explore)

Explore ext2, ext3, ext4 file systems"
A review by John

An explorer-like program that allows you to view ext2, ext3, and ext4 files. This app also supports Linux LVM2 and can be to view/copy folders, disk and file system images. The program grants you access to work with Linux OS files on a Windows PC. It is designed for everyone to use, thanks to the simplified interface which is very easy to understand. You will find two separate panes on the app’s interface with quite a lot of features hidden in the “Tools” menu.

To use the app, all you need do is to insert a hard disk drive with ExtFS partitions, then, open the disk or a new file system image. This utility application will display the contents of the hard disk partitions in its main window where you can edit the files stored in the different partitions. It also has support for external disks (USB disks). You don’t need a 3rd-party driver or app to make use of this app effectively.

Furthermore, there are quite a bunch of features of this program you’ll love to hear about. It allows you to create and manage new files, as well as folders.

ext2read (ext2explore) is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in file management category and is available to all software users as a free download.
