Fing

Scan the network and find connected devices"
A review by John

How do you know all the available networks within your range? We introduce a special tool for this not only to detect the network but also IP addresses, device vendors, servers and ISP location. This is purely an internet-based application. You have to make sure you have the strongest internet to access all the networks. Besides, its speed and response rate is something to appreciate about the tool. It is ideal to use WIFI networks due to the amount of data required. The phone internet and wired internet connections may not be ideal for such an internet operation.

It also has an integrated Email communication for sharing all the results in just a click of a button. Additional services supported on the app include detection of the client protocol like DNS or HTTP. Once you detect the networks you can view its status, whether it is secured or unsecured. A graphical symbol also appears to show the signal strength. When looking for a network analysis then this is a good choice.

Fing is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in network analyzer category and is available to all software users as a free download.
