Georeferencing raster images in AutoCAD"
A review by John

This is a software which can raster the images you use in your drawings while working with any version of AutoCAD on PC. The software raster images automatically based on the defined positions it could find in the images’ World files. This utility is specifically meant for AutoCAD modeling software and as such, it is a tool for architects, modelers, engineers, and other professionals alike, instead of being a general software can be used by any PC owner. In an image World files lies information about the position, size, and other parameters for a raster image.

The following images format are supported by this tool for this action to take place; CIT, TIF, JPG, PNG, JP2, GIF, ECW, BMP, and SID. It also has support for the following World files: TFWx, TFW, JPW, JGW, GFW, PGW, SDW, BPW, EWW, and WLD. World files are looked up for in folders where the original raster file is located. Thus, you need an image and its world file before this add-on app will function effectively. For professionals working with AutoCAD, this is quite a good software to make use of.

GeoRefImg is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in architecture / cad category and is available to all software users as a free download.
