Many such programs exist as extensions and plugins. This program is designed to add video animation functions to the popular GIMP image editing program. As a result, GIMP users can start creating animation files and work with video content right from the interface they are already used to.
The program can also work with imported video frames. The possible actions include convert, crop, duplicate, resize or scale.the video. It can also perform reverse or shift sequence, convert frames to images, or split pictures and videos into frames. It also gives the user access to the storyboard where they can add audio tracks, transitions, and many more.
It adds a “Video” menu to GIMP which allows the user to create videos using video filter effects. Other capabilities of the program include its ability to transform images to an animated waving flag, swap content of layers, copy and rotate layers that are queued in the animation sequence. Other features include its ability to work with the transparency of layers and create animations by mapping the active image into a spinning cube.
