View and restore MBR or BootSector"
A review by John

If you would like to get more information about a drive, you would need a drive reader. At this point, this program comes into the picture as it can be used for reading, displaying, saving and restoring several segments of your drive. A few of the parts it can check to include your drive’s boot sector, boot record as well as some continuous sectors. This software allows users to know whether the sectors of the file system have been overwritten or not. Similarly, it can be used for backing up specific sectors so that you can restore them if necessary.

This tool is a tiny program of just over 100 kb; therefore, its user interface is simple. Its executable file works on almost all computers. To use this tool, you will have to select between a physical or logical drive. Afterward, select a starting sector as well as the number of sectors you want to check. Once you press “Read Sector”, the program will execute its functions. Based on your choice, you can save or reload the sectors to a chosen file. Alternatively, you can write the sectors to a DVD or CD. To avoid trashing your computer, get yourself accustomed to the program before using reading or displaying any sector.

HDHACKER is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in boot manager/disk category and is available to all software users as a free download.
