Scan and see Wi-Fi and signal strength"
A review by John

The signal strength is an important factor in determining the performance of a Wi-Fi wireless network connection. On the path between the wireless access point and a connected device, the signal strength in each direction determines the data rate available in that link. Having knowledge of your wireless connection signal strength can give you an insight into how to improve the Wi-Fi range.

This small utility enables you to scan for Wi-Fi or WLAN access points and monitor their signal strength. It features a comprehensive multi-tabbed user interface that is intuitive enough for everyone to understand and use.

Under the “Adapter Overview”, you can view details on wireless network adapter which includes property and value. From the “Access Points” tab, you can view information on the detected access points which includes their MAC address, vendor, signal strength, signal strength history and encryption.

You can enable the application to track your location using Google Geolocation or Mozilla Location Service. In addition, you can configure various options such as enabling the application to show non-WLAN adapters and use alternative signal graph theme.

The simplicity of the application makes it an application for all levels of users.
