OblyTile

Make tiles for Win 8 start screen"
A review by John

In Windows 8 and 8.1, the start menu interfaces changed completely. All apps installed on PC now appear in tiles instead of the list menu on older versions. Here is a handy app that allows you to personalize the look and feel of your Windows 8.0/8.1 start menu. This software app is quite very easy to use, and as such, anyone that operates a computer can make use of this app to customize the tiles that appear on when you launch the Windows 8 Start Menu. Installing the app is not a big deal as it follows the same processes for installing any software on a PC.

The interface of this application is well designed and looks stylish. To start with this app, you will have to define a file name and specify its connection to a specific program. You can use custom image files from your PC to customize the tile icon, supported image formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG. Also, you can set custom text color, as well as the background color. There are quite a bunch of built-in tools to help you to manage the various tiles you will create. Furthermore, you can import and export the custom tiles you will create with this app.

OblyTile is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in os enhancements category and is available to all software users as a free download.
