Partition Magic

Tool to format the hard disk and make partitions"
A review by Andrew

Note: Is for Windows XP

A computer is defined by components such as CPU, RAM, but also the hard disk. Operating systems together with applications are installed and stored in the hard disk. System files are sensitive files that run the core functions of a computer. It is advisable to split the hard disk into multiple parts to allow easy access back up in case you need to install or update the OS. Partition Magic is hard disk utility software that merges, locates, resize and separate the hard disk for easy accessibility.

The program separates the system files from the other files in various partitions in the hard disc. Once installed it allows backup, merging and resizing of the hard disk without compromising on performance. It also enhances management of files in separate locations. It offers scheduled backups and updates of applications and software to avoid data loss.

However, it has been overtaken by technology. It can only run on windows XP operating system and other older versions.

It is part from disk partition category and is licensed as shareware for Windows 32-bit and 64-bit platform and can be used as a free trial until the trial period will end. The Partition Magic 8 demo is available to all software users as a free download with potential restrictions and is not necessarily the download of the full version.
