Pokki

Manage the Start Menu"
A review by John

When Windows 8 was released, it introduced the world to a brand new type of apps that is called modern apps. These are also known are web apps which are only accessible from the modern desktop interface. However, people that crave for the classic start menu but also want to use their favorite web apps can turn to this program to help them achieve their objectives. This program brings back the classic Windows Start menu and also gives the user access to web apps from the taskbar.

Once the program is installed, the user can visit the Pokki Apps store to select the web apps to be placed on the start menu. Some common apps include Gmail, Facebook, SoundCloud, and many others. With this program, users can mark apps as favorites, rename them and change the apps that will appear in the taskbar. The start menu that this app provides for Windows 8 gives quick access to control panel utilities and vital user documents. The program allows the user to change the application visuals by switching the theme, menubar, and change the position of panels within the app. The program provides an excellent means of accessing modern apps while maintaining the classic Windows start menu.

Pokki is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in enhancements category and is available to all software users as a free download.
