Instant messenger apps are a group of programs that transformed communications at the turn of the century. However, since its introduction about two decades ago, IM programs have been transformed into multi-purpose communication tools. QQ is one of the of the pioneer Instant Messenger (IM) applications launched recently. It has added features for reading news feed, playing games, watching videos, searching directories, and many more.
It requires registration with QQ and only works on a 64-bit processor. The later versions embrace the open platform application concept. This feature allows the developer to extend the capabilities of the QQ IM by design and their custom apps that integrate seamlessly within the QQ program. The QQ apps are secure because they pass through a rigorous approval procedure.
The application is multilingual, supporting English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese and Korean. The latest version has features for automated translation of chat which is excellent for breaking the language barrier among QQ users.
QQ International for Mac is licensed as freeware for Mac OS operating system. It is in instant messaging category and is available to all software users as a free download.
