Were you looking for something in Excel to help you merge the data from several of your large workbooks into one easily accessible Excel file? By default, Microsoft Excel doesn’t have a tool that can perform this action. However, the software is highly configurable and allows you to install small programs that expand its functionality. These are knows as add-ins and are usually free – and quite small. RDBMerge is an Excel add-in that enables you to quickly merge workbooks, CSV, XLS and XML files into a large workbook.
After you install the add-in, you can find its button on the Excel Ribbon at the top of the program’s user interface. In Excel 2003 and earlier versions, the button will be in the Data menu. After you click the button, you need to select the folder that contains the files you wish to merge. You can then select the type of files you wish to use for the operation or leave the field blank and merge everything in the selected folder. Select the worksheets and data ranges to merge if necessary and then click Merge to create the Summary Workbook. More details can be found on this site.
Also. there are various options for advanced users.
RDBMerge is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in files category and is available to all software users as a free download.
