Ultra Nitro Racers is a freeware game in the racing category which allows you to test your driving skills against computer-controlled cars in different competitions and on multiple racing tracks. There are different cars to choose from and you can boost up your car speed using nitro.
The game features ten tracks and five different racing cars, with a number of racing modes which includes Quick Race, Competition Mode and Time Attack. Though the cars look sporty and their speed is adequate, you can’t customize them or boost their performance.
Controlling the cars doesn’t require pressing multiple keys and moving the mouse to adjust the camera. Simply press the up arrow key to accelerate and the left and right keys to move in either direction. You brake with Ctrl and hit the Nitro with Alt.
Although the controls are simple, they are highly sensitive; pressing a key for too long will make the car swerve unnecessarily and pressing Ctrl too hard will cause the car to stop totally. You also need to press on the Nitro button right from the start so as to keep up with your opponents.
The game has its faults but it’s free, simple to control and it has a help file to guide you through the features.
Ultra Nitro Racers is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in driving category and is available to all software users as a free download.
