Unknown Device Identifier

Will identify unknown hardware devices"
A review by Andrew

The motherboard cannot identify all drivers. However, Unknown Device Identifier is an application specifically designed to detect and search the entire system for drivers for hardware components. The overall aim of the tool is to search for programs from unknown sources and run updates to make them valid and updated. The interface is simple and friendly for all calibers of users: beginners and advanced users.

The installation process is fast and speedy, though the interface takes abit of time to set up and initiate. The interface is simple and well organized with all the functions displayed in one window. The list of the computer's drivers is displayed in a drop down list format in a chronological manner for further action. The report can also be printed and saved as a plain document for further analysis.

The interface supports importation from the web with addresses for easy contact and further operation. The interface lacks other options for it is just a simple tool with simple functions. The main challenge of the application is, it lacks an online integration for direct transfer to the site to run system updates.

All the processes are executed within seconds, with no interference on computer performance due to the size of the application.

Unknown Device Identifier is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in system info category and is available to all software users as a free download.
