From the creators of the popular VLC comes VLMC (VideoLAN Movie Creator), a non-linear video editing program that you can use to edit your video just like in Adobe Premiere. The software is based on libVLC and works on all Windows operating systems, as well as on Mac OS X and most Linux distributions. At the time of writing, the video editor was in Alpha stage so it was still under development; beta testing has not started yet.
The program is pretty simple to use and is based on the thoroughly tested VLC framework. The interesting fact is that the software can read almost any kind of media file and can also export video and audio to most formats. In other words, the program can also convert your videos to other formats. If you’re looking for a free tool that can quickly and effortlessly edit your raw video footage and movies collections, VLMC is the utility for you.
You can test the alpha version as much as you like, but be cautioned that it is still full of bugs and crashes quite often. However, the final product will be as stable as VLC media player and its functionality will be greatly expanded.
VLMC is licensed as freeware for PC or laptop with Windows 32 bit and 64 bit operating system. It is in video editors category and is available to all software users as a free download.
